Wrapping up August

Really the last 2 weekends weren't that eventful that I need to keep anyone in suspense (if anyone actually even reads this!). I just lost track of time and needed to leave :)

The third weekend in August was spent half in Atlanta and half in Milledgeville-home of Georgia College and State University (GCSU). Robert's sister is currently a senior there and has been wanting us to come down for awhile. Since fall is devoted to football in our house-we made a last minute decision to go down for a night. I was a tad nervous about being able to make it in a college town. I know I'm not old, but when it comes to my bedtime it's EARLY! While I don't have any pictures from the weekend, we had a great time. It ended with a late night slice of pizza-one of the best slices I've ever had!!

GCSU is a bit different from Auburn when it comes to night life though. First of all, they have a lot more bars in their "downtown" area. But also, when their bars close no one is out on the streets anymore. It almost becomes a ghost town!! In Auburn you always find those really drunk people hanging out outside of the bar or sitting on a curb waiting on their ride. It was so strange.

This past weekend Robert and I hit the road again and headed up to Tennessee to visit my parents. It was a nice relaxing weekend filled with good food, darts, ice cream, and some Wii action. We were hoping to get out on the boat, but when we pulled into the marina we pulled up the radar and rain was heading our way. Having been out on the boat before in a horrible storm-we opted to eat dinner first and do more of an evening ride. And of course before we left for the evening ride it started raining again! Oh well-we still had a great time!

This weekend will be spent on the loveliest village on the plains for some football and for Mindy and Josh's wedding! I'll be sure to take pictures this weekend and report back!!
